The Louisiana state health department has fined Greenwell Springs Hospital $2,600 after investigating the death of a patient in the psychiatric ward.
Patient Francis Plaisance Jr. was at the hospital for less than a week when he was found unconscious in a bathroom in September 2002. He had been strangled with a bed sheet and a necklace.
