Former prison psychologist sentenced in inmate sex case

As reported by KESQ 3 TV

A former prison psychologist has been sentenced to 90 days in jail or on a work-release program after she admitted having sex with a state prison inmate. Marilyn Windham pleaded guilty in December to a felony charge of having sex with a male inmate at the Folsom prison in June 2005.

Her attorney says she will spend no time behind bars if she is allowed to provide psychiatric services for a Sacramento County agency as part of the sheriff's work program.

She will have to provide counseling services that do not require a state license, however, because the state Board of Psychology suspended her license and may revoke it.

Windham resigned her job at California State Prison, Sacramento, about a month after the incident.
