A Perth psychologist accused of sexually abusing one of his patients has told the Perth District Court he has never had an interest in sado-masochism.
Sixty-four-year-old Bruce Beaton is alleged to have humiliated and sexually abused a 22-year-old woman during treatment sessions at his Fremantle clinic in 2005.
Today Beaton was asked by his counsel whether he had an interest in bondage, discipline and sado-masochism, but he replied "never".
Beaton then went on to tell the court about his qualifications as a clinical psychologist, his experience in having treated more than 8,000 patients during his career and the complexity of cases he has had to deal with.
The trial continues.
