A Piraeus Prefecture inspection team uncovered yesterday a psychiatrist who passed on to his patients medicines that he produced in his own clinic, authorities said yesterday.
Officials found in the clinic in Kallipolis, Piraeus, some 30,000 pills and 100 different types of medicines used to produce his own medical cocktails.
With the help of police, prefecture officials also found a medical prescription pad that did not bear the necessary approval stamps from health authorities as well as pension fund health booklets belonging to patients.
A fine of 75,000 euros was imposed on the doctor for illegally possessing and selling drugs, officials added.
